St. Vigil am Enneberg
In the heart of the Dolomites
The village of St. Vigil, with its 1,500 inhabitants, lies in an idyllic side valley of the Badia Valley at about 1,200 metres above sea level at the foot of the Plan de Corones, one of the most popular hiking and skiing mountains in South Tyrol. Dozens of state-of-the-art lifts, over 100 kilometres of slopes and countless hiking trails await you here in summer and winter. The lifts start directly behind our hotel and can therefore be reached in 200m.
Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park
Holidays at the Nature Park in South Tyrol
Two of South Tyrol's seven nature parks border on St. Vigil: the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Dolomites Nature Park and Puez Geisler. This special location makes San Vigilio a particularly varied holiday destination in winter and summer, ideal for all nature lovers and Dolomite fans.
This beautiful natural area is also the setting for the centuries-old, legendary Fanes Cycle, a collection of fascinating legends compiled by Karl Felix Wolff from oral Ladin tradition in the "Dolomitensagen", first published in 1913. Today there are numerous publications and events based on the stories about the Princess Dolasilla, the kingdom of the marmots and the evil sorcerer Spina de Mul.
