Museum Ladin "Ciastel de Tor" (in St. Martin in Thurn)
The history of the Ladin ethnic group is impressively presented here, from archaeology, language and handicrafts to the present. In addition, the Ladin Museum is housed in the impressive castle, whose roots go back to the 13th century.
In 2011, a branch of the museum was opened in St. Kassian. This is dedicated to Ursus ladinicus, a cave bear species that was native here 40,000 years ago and whose fossil remains were found in the Conturines cave at 2,800 metres above sea level.
