City of Bruneck
Bruneck is the town in the heart of the Puster Valley. This is where the Tauferer Ahrntal and Gadertal valleys converge and where modernity and tradition also meet. This can be seen not only in the architecture, the cultural and leisure facilities, but also in the townspeople themselves. Bruneck Castle with the adjacent Rain Church are not only the town's landmark but also a popular destination for excursions. The town gates and the medieval town alley with its small shops, boutiques, cafés and wine bars are also impressive. In 2009 Bruneck was voted the most liveable small town in Italy.
Various events take place throughout the year. In summer there are concerts, long shopping evenings and various festivals. In winter, the traditional Christkindelmarkt takes place around Christmas time.Back to overview
