Where is Hotel Corona located?

The Corona Kristallhotel is located in St. Vigil in Enneberg (San Vigilio di Marebbe), at St. Catarina Lanz 22, in the heart of the Dolomites and close to Kronplatz / Plan de Corones.

Is Hotel Corona a family-run hotel?

Yes. Hotel Corona has been owned by the Frenner family for over 100 years and is now run by the 7th generation.

What makes Hotel Corona special?

The hotel combines wellness, cuisine and a Dolomites holiday with a distinctive crystal concept. Rooms, wellness areas and treatments draw on the world of gemstones and crystals.

What are the hotel's surroundings like?

The hotel is in St. Vigil at the foot of Kronplatz, close to two nature parks: Fanes-Sennes-Prags and Puez-Geisler. The area is suited to both summer and winter holidays.

Is the hotel committed to sustainability?

Yes. Hotel Corona refers to a GSTC certification and places value on sustainable tourism, local products and responsible travel.

Can I send a non-binding enquiry before booking?

Yes. The website has a dedicated enquiry function through which guests can request a non-binding offer.

Does the hotel arrange airport transfers?

Yes. The hotel offers to arrange the transfer from the airport to the hotel. Guests should contact the hotel directly for this.

Can I let the hotel know about special requests or intolerances?

Yes. The hotel asks guests to report any intolerances. Gluten-free and lactose-free dishes are available on request.

Bookings & Payment

When does my booking become valid?

The booking becomes valid as soon as the deposit has reached the hotel. The amount and payment terms are stated in the booking confirmation.

Which payment methods does the hotel accept?

The hotel bill can be paid in cash, by debit (Bancomat) card and with Visa or Mastercard. American Express is not accepted.

Is there a tourist tax?

Yes. The tourist tax is €3.70 per person per night. Children up to 14 years are exempt.

When can I check in?

The room is available on the day of arrival from approximately 2:00 p.m.

What should I do if I arrive after 7:00 p.m.?

For arrivals after 7:00 p.m., the hotel asks to be informed in advance.

By when must I check out on the departure day?

On the departure day the room should be vacated by 10:00 a.m.

What are the cancellation terms?

Up to 30 days before arrival the deposit paid (30% of the total amount) is retained. From 29 to 8 days before arrival a cancellation fee of 70% applies. From 7 days before arrival, for late arrival or early departure, 90% of the total amount is charged.

Which room categories does Hotel Corona offer?

The hotel offers various rooms and suites, including Superior rooms, Comfort rooms, suites and single rooms.

Are the rooms suitable for families?

Yes. Several rooms and suites are designed for 2 to 4 people, and the Amethyst Suite even for 2 to 6 people.

Do the rooms have a special theme?

Yes. The rooms and suites are named after gemstones and lovingly designed accordingly, for example Selenite, Lapis Lazuli, Agate, Rose Quartz, Garnet, Tourmaline, Amethyst and Rock Crystal.

Are there single rooms?

Yes. The hotel also offers an Agate single room of approximately 20 m² for one person.

Can I book a double room for single use?

Yes. According to the website, a double room for single use is possible at a surcharge: 70% of the double-room price.

Cuisine

What is included at breakfast?

The hotel offers a healthy and generous breakfast buffet with regional products, homemade jams, pastries from the in-house patisserie, mueslis, organic bread rolls and dairy products from the local dairy.

Is there an afternoon snack?

Yes. The afternoon snack features homemade sweet treats and house-made syrups.

What is served in the evening?

In the evening there are 4-course choice menus with creations from South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine, plus a salad buffet.

Are there gluten-free or lactose-free dishes?

Yes. Gluten-free and lactose-free dishes are available on request. The included-services page states a surcharge of €10.00 per day for this.

Is there a wine cellar?

Yes. The hotel has a historic wine cellar dating from 1505 with selected national labels and a focus on local wines from South Tyrol.

Wellness & SPA

Does Hotel Corona have a pool?

Yes. The hotel offers the natural-stone pool „Silbersee“ (Silver Lake) with dolomite and silver-quartzite stones, as well as a crystal grotto with massage and whirlpool.

Which saunas are available?

The wellness area includes, among others, a crystal sauna with rock crystal and rose quartz, a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, an infrared cabin and a salt grotto.

Are there massages and beauty treatments?

Yes. The hotel offers massages, beauty treatments, baths, scrubs, wraps, couples' treatments and special crystal applications.

What is „The Magic of Fanes“?

„The Magic of Fanes“ is a full-body treatment developed especially for the hotel, using natural dolomite stones, herbal oils and scents from woods and resins.

Is the wellness area also suitable for families?

Yes. Besides the natural-stone pool, the website also mentions a children's pool for the little ones.

Active Holiday & Surroundings

How far is the hotel from the ski area?

According to the website, the Kronplatz lifts are directly behind the hotel, about 200 m away.

Are there benefits for skiers?

Yes. In winter the hotel offers, among other things, a ski and boot drying room, discounts on ski rental and the option to have equipment delivered to and collected from the hotel.

Are there guided hikes?

Yes. In summer, guided hikes are offered three times a week with hiking guide Anna in the surroundings of St. Vigil and into the nature parks.

Does the hotel provide hiking equipment?

Yes. Guests can use a loan backpack and hiking poles for the duration of their stay.

What is the Kronplatz Guest Pass?

The Kronplatz Guest Pass allows use of public transport in South Tyrol, including line buses, regional trains, provincial cable cars and ski buses in winter. It also provides discounts on activities.

Family & Dogs

Are there discounts for children?

Yes. From the 3rd bed in the parents' room there are graduated child discounts: 0–1 year 100%, 2–3 years 70%, 4–8 years 50%, 9–14 years 30% and from 15 years 10%.

Are dogs allowed in the hotel?

Yes. Dogs are allowed for a surcharge. The website states €25.00–30.00 per day. Dogs are only allowed in rooms with wooden floors.

Is there a garage?

Yes. A garage is available for a surcharge. The website states €12.00 per day.
